Do you want to run Sacred Gold on 1080p or 1440p widescreen on Windows 10 or Windows 7 with anti-aliasing? Here is how you can do it.

Guide

  • Right click the game shortcut and click Properties.
  • Click browse local files.
  • Find the executable named “Config.exe” and enable “32 Bit Color Depth”.
  • For this magic to be working download the file “dgVoodoo2_55_5.zip” from “Downloads” tab.
  • Extract the zip file and move 3 files that are inside the “MS” folder into your game main directory.
  • Execute the “dgVoodooSetup.exe”. Click “Add” on the top-right then select Sacred main game folder.
  • Now go to the “Appearance” tab and set the “Scaling Mode” to “Stretched, 4:3 Aspect Ratio” or “Centered” or another one. Just try them out for your liking.
  • Go to the “DirectX” tab then set the “VRAM” to the maximum value your graphic card can support.
  • Select the resolution you want to play under “Resolution” setting.
  • You can optionally check “Force bilinear filtering”, “Force linear mip filtering”, “Force vSync”, select “Antialiasing (MSAA)” or other options for extra enhancements. They can improve the looks but they can also cause some graphical artifacts. Just try them for your liking”.
  • Under the “Miscellanneus” disable “dgVoodoo Watermark”
  • Finally click “Apply” and “OK”.
  • Run the game and enjoy!
  • As a final note if you are fan of retro games i strongly suggest that you buy a quality CRT monitor. You will be destroyed by how amazing these games looks on it!
